It has taken me about 3 years to really learn that there is no such thing as easy online money. Or rather, I have learned that there is such a thing as passive income, and you can achieve it, but only if you work your tail off for it. And so that is what I am doing now: working my tail off, and watching my earnings explode lately.
Online money comes easy, but only after a mountain of hard work. What type of work? I recommend practicing seo and building real online assets, websites that provide useful information that the search engines can send traffic to over and over again. Then you can monetize those websites with ads or affiliate products or whatever. But the key is in building a recurring flow of free traffic, and that means writing articles of value and then promoting those articles with links.
If you want to see how easy the money can flow to you online, then build up a reputable website and give it a few years to age. You could shortcut this process by buying a modest little website as well. Then you need to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Find a list of say, a hundred or so keywords that are related to your topic and can bring in sizable amounts of traffic. These keywords can’t be too impossibly hard to rank for (don’t try for “credit card”) and they also have to have some profit potential (don’t go for “free email service,” as there is no money in it!).
Once you have some profitable keywords figured out, then you need to write some articles targeting those keywords. For my seo purposes, I don’t go much further than just making sure the keyword is in the post once, and also in the title of the post. I also try to include lots of related terms. No stuffing is necessary.
So do this for your 100 keywords that you picked out. Get 100 new articles put up on your site. Preferably, this site of yours already has some history and some traffic coming in every day. Nothing huge, but at least showing up on Google’s radar.
Now here is the key to all this: go through and build 5 links to each and every one of those new articles. Ouch.
Yeah, that is a crap ton of work. Yes, it will take you about 3 times longer to make the links as it did for you to write the 100 articles. Doesn’t matter. If you do this and you follow through and you build all 300 links to your 100 new posts, you will increase your monthly earnings by several hundred dollars.
And then that extra money will just keep flowing in, month after month after month, and so on.
This is the key to passive income. It has been working really well for me, ever since I put my head down and forced myself to start actually doing the work.
