What exactly are home business leads? These are prospective customers who have been shown to have expressed some interest in making money from home. So they are potential clients or customers for a home based business package of some sort.
Now this can be quite a shady area to deal in, because a company who is selling a home business lead could just very well have a list of emails that they have bought, rented, or captured by any sort of means. There is really no guarantee that the leads that they have are genuine people who really want to start a home business. For every one reputable company out there that is selling legitimate home business leads, there are probably at least a dozen or more other companies that are basically scamming people or doing shady deals in order to sell worthless prospect lists.
Genuine home business leads are not going to be cheap if you do buy them. Think about this for a moment. What is the value of a paying customer who is itching to start a home business? The value is quite high if the lead is genuine. If you had access to a large group of new customers who were all looking to start some sort of home business, would it not be quite easy to simply funnel them into an appropriate affiliate offer? Could you not simply monetize these leads yourself, possibly in a way that continues to pay you over and over again? (For example, pitching them to a quality membership site that pays a monthly affiliate commission for those who stay in their program).
In other words, business leads like this are quite valuable and it is a pretty simple deal to turn them into profit, even if it is done without much creativity through simple affiliate offers. So if you are going to find a highly reputable source of quality leads, you can be sure that they will not be cheap, and you can also be sure that you better have a really good offer for those leads. Something that goes beyond what is currently available from the major affiliates. Is your offer good enough to convert as well as the top existing offers in the marketplace? Is your landing page good enough to get the same or better percentage of conversions? If not then you are probably throwing money away by purchasing leads, unless you find someone who does not really know the value of what they have, which is quite unlikely.
