How I Have Been Making Money Online From Home For Years

by Patrick Meninga

Let me tell you how I have been making money online from home for several years now.

What I did was to try to figure out how to make money on the internet, using several different techniques.  Most of them did not work out so well.  For example, I tried to create a product at one point and sell it via Clickbank.  This failed miserably.  But it was a good lesson and I learned something from it.  I learned that if you are buying your traffic, you better have a really compelling offer and an outstanding product.  I did not have either of those things, so my effort failed.

Later on I learned that I could make instant cash from freelancing and writing articles for other people.  There are websites that can help facilitate this, but my best writing gigs have always come from people who are in my same niche and have multiple websites about my particular topic of expertise.  A few of these people have seen my writing and they wanted to buy it, so they paid me quite well to write for them.  In at least 2 cases I received offers to write for someone where they would be paying me a full time income just to write for them a few hours each day.  But getting to that point was not easy, and I had to put forth a lot of energy and effort into my own websites in order to impress people enough to get them to hire me.

At some point I stopped writing for others so  much and I turned my energy to focus on my own websites.  I had one flagship website that was earning a tiny bit of cash each day, and I wanted to grow that amount.  So I worked really hard at it and started publishing multiple articles each day and at some point I turned that website into a full time income.  The amount of work that it took to do that was pretty insane.  I would say I did not really hit a solid part time income until I had over 500 articles on the website, and I did not really hit a full time income until I had over 1,000 articles on the website.  As it stands now, there are over 1,500 articles and over a million words on that website.

Now the problem here is that most people who want to “work from home,” in many cases, do not really want to work.  They want to goof around on the internet and somehow get paid for it.  Most people will get defensive at this suggestion but the real acid test is this:

“How many articles did you publish today?”

Because if you want to build an online empire of steady income, then you need to be publishing lots of articles every single day.  This is the quickest and surest way to meet your income goals.

There are other methods for earning online income but publishing quality content and then monetizing it is probably the basic route that most people will want to go.

It has been working for me for several years now and I even quit my day job because of it.
