If you have dreamed of quitting your day job and affording yourself a life of luxury and freedom, then how do you intend to get there and make your dreams become a reality?
Passive income is difficult to generate.
Actually, it is fairly easy to set up a system that generates a tiny amount of passive income. The hard part is in scaling it up.
For example, creating a website that makes at least one dollar each month is relatively easy.
But creating a website that makes $100 dollars per month? That is definitely a lot more challenging.
And one of the key things to understand is this (this should seriously help to motivate you):
If you have built up an authority website to $100/month in income, then you are about halfway to $1,000/month in income.
Now that is a very counter intuitive statement and most people will never believe it. But it is absolutely true.
Really what this speaks to is not how easy it is to make $1,000/month, but rather, how difficult it is to make $100/month.
If you can create a website and get it earning $100/month based on free search engine traffic, then you have the means to create $1,000/month income or more based on this.
This is due to the fact that someone who has built up to $100/month in income knows:
1) How to publish a decent volume of content in order to rank enough to create income.
2) How to promote a website and be patient enough to let the traffic start coming to them.
3) How to target unique keywords with each new article and not duplicate their efforts.
4) How daily publishing can significantly increase their future income.
So if you are making even 1 dollar per day online with your web properties then you have to ask yourself:
“Why not just repeat my actions another 100 times, and then I will be earning $100 dollars per day!”
If that seems like an impossible amount of work that you could never hope to accomplish, then ask yourself:
“What else are you going to do with your free time?” Create some other business asset? Goof off? Do nothing?
Now on the other hand, say that you have no income at all coming in, or perhaps you have not really started to build your online empire.
At that point, I would look to the negative things in your life for motivation. This is ultimately what motivated me.
I was not content with my day job, and wanted out. I was hot happy with my life and having to work 40 hours each week just in order to live. I was trapped in a cycle and I wanted out of it.
So this motivated me to take a leap of faith.
I had no guarantee that I could build up a website and turn it into a solid income stream. I had no proof that it would work for certain, or that I was not wasting my time.
All business ventures involve some risk. Therefore, if you are miserable enough in your current situation, and want to somehow buy your freedom with an alternate income source, then you would do well to build a website (as outlined in the mini course here) and start cranking out articles.
Sure, it might flop. There is risk in every business. But, what are you going to do otherwise?
