So Court over at TKA has been doing an experiment about how to make money online by posting 100 new blog posts. Now the site he chose to do this on is already making money and has some good authority. It has a bunch of links pointed at the site already and some domain age and already ranks in the search engines for stuff.
So what Court did was to do some keyword research and I believe he started with a list of about 5,000 keywords and whittled it down to 100 keywords that he thought would be good for this experiment. (If you want to learn that process you will have to join the TKA site for a dollar for the first 30 days).
Anyway, then Court either wrote the 100 posts based on those good keywords or he had the posts outsourced. Then he posted them. Now he was going to build a certain number of links to these posts, but before he could he found that the 100 new blog posts were earning over $600 per week on their own. This is good money folks. Like you really needed a rocket scientist to tell you that, right?
Court used channels to track just the 100 new posts, so this is all new profit based on the 100 new posts. So he has decided not to build the links to the new posts because it is not necessary. He is making more money than he anticipated without building the links at all. He is happy with the outcome. I would be too.
Now Court has said that he makes his money when he does his keyword research. You have to have the good keywords. And I recently did similar research and unleashed a series of 40 new posts on my main money site with the same idea. However I am not tracking them as accurately as Court is and I also am not producing over 600 per week with them.
What is the difference? One is the Court can pick words better than me. Better than just about anyone, in fact.
And the other major difference is that his website that he did this experiment on probably has more Google juice and domain authority than my website. So I will have to build some serious links in order to get similar results to Court. In fact, I might have to build links for a few years in order to have that kind of power–to be able to throw up a hundred keyword targeted posts and be bringing in an extra $2500 per month because of it.
So let us break this down and think about it. You can write 100 posts yourself or have them written for you at a cost of around $600 dollars or so.
And you can even outsource your keyword research now and get a list of 100 keywords for a nominal fee.
All told it would cost you under a thousand bucks to do this stuff without factoring in the links. But ah, the links. You need links.
Yes, what you really need in order to make magic cookies appear out of thin air is some serious domain authority. This means you need a website with lots of links pointed at it. An older domain helps with this too. And if it is a site with lots and lots of content, that might help a bit too. In other words, an authority website. A big site with lots of authority.
You need a big, powerful website that has the ability to rank well in Google. If you have that, then you have a money making machine if you just play your cards right.

But you still need that magic part of the recipe: the booty-kicking website with lots of authority. And you are either going to have to buy it, or build it with your own sweaty hands. If you try to buy it, just understand that it will not come cheap if it truly has the authority domain that you are really seeking.
If you want to build it, you should have started about 5 to 10 years ago. Because my site is about 4 years old and it is still cooking and is probably only up to about medium rare at best. Magic cookies don’t start falling out of the sky until you hit about medium to medium-well. That’s just how it is and if you want a magic shortcut you will have to buy it with your hard earned dollars….
Or get cracking and build the thing. But it is hard and takes work, work, work…..
