Make Money Online with Contextual Advertising

If you want to make money from advertising then one of the easiest ways to do this is to create a website and sign up for the Google Adsense program.  Of course to do this and have any kind of success with it you need to put in quite a bit of effort up front.  If you can pull it off though it becomes a great system of nearly passive income because once the money is rolling in it will tend to keep rolling in as long as you maintain your search engine rankings.

That is another good point right there, you basically want traffic from search engines if you can do it because that is by far the easiest traffic to monetize.  People who come from search engines are naturally looking for something already and so advertisers know that they are more likely to be in “buying mode” than someone who is coming from a social networking website.  Therefore, if you set up a website that gets a lot of search engine traffic then you have the foundation necessary to make money from contextual advertising.

What is contextual advertising?  Basically “contextual” means that the ads being shown on your website are based on the “context,” or the content of your web page.  So if you write about dogs you might have ads for dog food or for dog trainers and so on.  Google’s Adsense program does this part automatically for you and there is no need for any ad selection on your part.  The bueaty of this system is that all you have to do is paste the Adsense code into your website and the rest is taken care of.

So where is the catch?  There is no catch, only that it is going to take some initial up-front work in order to get enough backlinks to your website in order to rank well in the search engines.  If you can get targeted backlinks then you will make big money using this system.

I have been doing this for about a year now and I already have a nice part-time income stream from it that is mostly passive.  More updates to come….and more instruction too.
