Are you looking to make money with Adwords, or find some other method of making money online that can boost your income and give you some extra money on the side? If this is what you want to do then you might have heard how you can buy traffic with Adwords and then somehow turn that traffic into more money, thus turning a profit. Once you have such a system set up, then the idea is that the money will just keep rolling in.
Now there are several different ways to make money online and I have experimented with several of them, and I have also used Adwords to purchase traffic and try to use it to boost my income. I can tell you right now that making money with Adwords is going to be a very steep learning curve indeed. There are several reasons why you should hesitate to make this your primary method of trying to make money online:
1) It is expensive. It is really dangerous to do proper testing with Adwords and try to turn a profit with it. You may find yourself spending hundreds of dollars every day but only making about half of what you are spending or even worse. Obviously this is not sustainable and can get you into trouble pretty quickly. There are other pay per click platforms out there that offer cheaper clicks and cheaper traffic, and some of it may be very high quality, but the volume is just not there compared to Adwords. In order to really compete and drive serious traffic you are going to have to use Adwords, and that means dealing with potentially razor thin margins that are risky to try and maintain.
2) It is competitive. If you break into an established niche, tough competition can eat you alive in the pay per click game. They might even take a loss on purpose just to drive you out of the game before you even get started. Sounds far fetched but it does happen in some niches.
3) It is advanced. Start with the basics and learn how to drive traffic with seo first. Later on, after you have mastered that, then you will know the true value of keywords, understand more about the long tail and how to dig deeper to find profitable variations and so on. Without some knowledge of the basics you are going to be struggling to make sense of an Adwords campaign that may be struggling to turn a profit until you have optimized it properly.
