Making Active Income with Textbroker – Earnings Update

OK let us cut right to the chase here.

This is the Skinny Ninja that you all know and love and this morning I spent a little less than 2 and half hours writing articles for Textbroker.com

That is right, other people paid me to write their articles for them and in return I get paid by Textbroker. They pay via Paypal every 2 weeks so it is convenient for people who need money on a regular basis (like to cover living expenses, say).

Here is the total earnings for those articles I wrote, which adds up to $46.90

As you can see I wrote 10 articles. I write them pretty fast as they only have to be about 325 to 350 words each. I usually over deliver by about 50 words to keep the people happy and keep my rating up. If you figure my hourly rate on writing articles there, it is always close to 20 bucks an hour. I have measured this a couple different ways and it is always really close to $20/hour.

Now it is only noon here and I have already been on a six mile jog and done some other stuff online as well on my other websites. I have a ton of mental energy left and could easily double this output for the rest of the day (of course this is one of my off days…no day job today).

I honestly don’t know what to do. I could keep cranking away but I think I will cap myself at 10 articles and approximately $45 dollars each day in earnings. This will avoid burnout I suppose. To be honest though I can crank the things out so fast that I am burning to do more as it is easy, easy money.

Realistically I want to keep it down more around 30 bucks per day and shoot for $900 extra each month in income. But I could easily shoot for $40+ per day and make a bit more. I guess it does not matter much as all of this income is extra and I do not need it, other than to pay towards my student loans. I still want to keep growing my passive income sources as well.

So my 30 day challenge is this: $30 bucks per day minimum on Textbroker. Should be able to do that without even breaking a sweat. That will be an extra $900+ in earnings for the month.

Now the real question for me at this point is this: is this income source sustainable? What if it dries up suddenly? Well, I did not have it a week ago, so that would certainly not kill me, but it would be nice to keep counting on the extra money.

Textbroker has an inventory and you can see all of it at once. Right now they have 1,400 4-star articles that need to be written and 350 3-star articles. That seems like plenty to me but maybe it will dry up fast; I don’t honestly know. If it dries up there are alternatives, but I have not investigated them much yet. Textbroker has a nice interface for doing this stuff fast. You don’t have to spend a lot of time negotiating or setting up the deal or emailing over the instructions. It is all right there and you can see the rates and if you agree then you crank out the article and Textbroker pays you. No screwing around, no time wasted. You can click on any of their thousand of articles that people want written and just bang it out. Then they either approve it or send it back for you to edit it later. I have never had an article sent back to me; they have all been approved without any issues.

So that is the update. Textbroker has become a powerful new income source in my life. It is fast and easy and I can do a $1,000/month without even breaking a sweat.

Should be interesting to see how it continues to unfold. I will keep you posted as usual.

Ninja out.
