I write articles.
That is it in a nutshell. I write articles and I publish them online. I publish them in different places: websites that I own, sites like Blogger, and sites like Hubpages. All of these sites have my advertising on them and I get paid when I get traffic to those sites. More specifically, I make good money when I get targeted traffic to those pages that I create. The best way to get targeted traffic is through the search engines. This is the highest quality of traffic that you can really get when it comes to residual income because it is recurring traffic that shows up every day. If you are making money from the traffic then simply get more of it and you will make more money. This has driven my growth, and my success, in building up a healthy stream of passive income.
For example, take my most successful article that I have published. It took me 2 hours to write it and I have spent some time promoting it and building links to it. Well, this particular article is making about 50 bucks every week. That is darn good, no? Let’s say I spent 10 hours total on that article, both writing it and promoting it. It has been making 50 each week for the last 3 years or so.
Do the math on that. That is like hundreds of dollars per hour of labor that I put into that post.
Now I will admit that this is my best post, and most do not do that well. But the average article make a buck each month, and it does that over and over again, month after month. So you just write a thousand articles or so, and there you have it…..passive income, baby!
