The Long Push for More Passive Income and Making More Money Online

So over the last few months here I have been really excited because I have a money site (not this one) that has a bit of authority with the search engines….not a ton, but enough that I can throw up some new content and it seems to generate some traffic and thus my income goes up.

This is awesome. No doubt about it.

So it got excited and I put up 25 posts in one day. Then I did it again the next day. Each of these posts was new, original, keyword targeted content that was at least 400 words or more. That is a lot of content to write in 2 days.

I ended up doing 123 posts during that first week. Not bad.

So now I have cooled my jets a little bit and I have settled in on 10 posts per day. Every day, I crank out 10 more posts for my money site. This is the new game plan. So far it is working great and I am seeing slow, steady, solid income growth.

Heck I have realized that I do not even want to see huge spikes in my daily earnings. That is not what I want. What I want is for it to be slow and steady growth over time. If it is slow and steady, then it is sustainable. And so that is what I am doing and that is my plan: 10 new posts per day, all keyword targeted, all for keywords that are relatively easy to rank for. So I would never write a post targeting “credit cards.” Too hard. Too competitive. I am targeting the long tail here and going for the low hanging fruit. I just want to grab a lot of it, and that is why I am writing 3,650 posts per year (ten a day).

Of course I also have to do a bit of keyword research thrown in there so that I have three thousand plus posts each year to write about. That is generally not been a problem so far and I have 2 different methods that I use to find keywords. If you want to learn them you will have to pony up the money and pay a buck to go learn them both over at Court and Mark’s keyword academy. That is where I learned it and I would recommend it to anyone who struggles with finding profitable and easy to rank for keywords.

Now why did I call this “the long push for more passive income?” Because it does not happen overnight and what I am seeing now is going to be a long, steady growth curve with some multiplying effects at the end. I am putting up 10 new posts per day and I am not really checking my rankings on this stuff but I do know that a whole lot of it is NOT getting indexed, at least by Google. The other search engines might be eating it all up, I have no idea and frankly the income growth is too good for me to stop and look right now. I think my strategy is going to be to try the 10 posts per day thing for a few months and then eventually I will evaluate if the rise in income is good enough or if I think some more link building is required.

The nice thing is that the link building might just be a bonus later on. After I have planted thousands of “seeds” with this massive wave of new content, my income will slowly rise, but then down the road I will have an opportunity for another boost. I can go into my stat logs and see what is working decent and drawing some traffic and I can throw up about a hundred links in a week or so and see that income multiple by a large factor. This is the beauty of working with large amounts of content and data. You can go in later and leverage your winners to make even more money.

So if this is a mental game (it is) then my current game plan is to go slow and steady and crank out my 10 articles per day and watch my income slowly rise as the content gets indexed here and there. Later on I will build links if I feel like there is more potential buried in the site. For now it is rising at a healthy rate and I actually had my best day ever on Labor day, which is pretty strange because holidays are typically a bit down for internet traffic.
