So I have worked and reworked these numbers.
My plan is to keep adding keyword targeted content to an already decent domain and budding authority website. It is already 500 articles big and my plan is to average 4 new posts per day. That is just under 1,500 new posts each year. Pretty fast growth.
Now my initial experiment was to add 40 posts and then add 40 articles worth of backlinks via Ezine and Infobarrels. This worked great and to be honest I got great results before I ever finished the backlinking. Not sure if I can finish up the Infobarrels….ugh….so tough.
Anyway, my income shot up pretty drastically since this experiment, and I have to say that i went up at least a hundred per month, but maybe more like a hundred and fifty per month. At any rate, I got real excited, and decided that I needed to do more keyword research and go on a post building rampage. So that is what I am doing. I have at least 150 keywords selected for this experiment and I have already cranked out about 20 of them into articles. I am also planning on data mining my stats for at least 3 good keyword post ideas each day so I can continue on with my building.
Any way you slice it, if I add 40 more of these keyword targeted posts and do the backlink work, then that should add at least $100 bucks to my bottom line each month. But of course I am not going to just add 40 of these posts. I am going to add closer to 120 of these posts every 30 days, because I am cranking out 4 per day now.
Yes, the backlink work will come in later, after I am sick of dredging up new keywords to target for a while. Then I will finally stop cranking content and shift back into link building. If I write 150 posts, then I will plan on writing another 150 posts to make backlinks with again. This is what will boost the income anyway after I have laid down the foundation with good keyword targeted content.
This is just back to the basics, only doing it with good keyword research being the road map and with a Mountain Dew-fueled work ethic. One post per day is boring. But creating 4 keyword targeted posts per day starts to make things multiply very quickly.

What a great asset that old blog is proving to be. It’s amazing how important (and overlooked) age and authority are in Google’s eyes.
