I am still trying to figure out my growth strategy here so that I can break it down into daily actions.
I think what I need most critically is a master keyword list that I can go through and write my daily posts from. Every single post that I write should be either targeting a new keyword OR possibly targeting an existing keyword that I already rank for and links back to the old post with good anchor text.
Right now I am just spinning my wheels and cranking out daily posts that do not really become future search engine fodder….instead they are just daily thoughts for my readers and that does not grow income. So my new strategy has to be that every post I write will target keywords.
I am also considering purchasing a new keyword tool such as Nichebot, Keyword Elite, or Wordtracker in order to better expand my keyword list that I am writing new posts from. I use the free tools such as the Google Adwords tool but I feel that I could be digging deeper somehow. My ultimate goal has always been to make money from home so I am not afraid to spend some money in order to get there.
Right now I look at my main money site and I can see how the earnings break down. Check it out:
I have about 400 posts. 90 percent of them don’t make any money at all. Ouch.
About 25 of the posts make a buck each month. Yippee.
10 posts make 2 bucks per month.
Another 10 posts make 3 bucks per month.
I have about 6 posts that make an average of 15 per month, each.
Then I have one post that makes 60 per month and another post that makes 80 per month.
Add this all up and you get about 300 bucks per month, give or take. It is increasing steadily at a rate of about 30 dollars per month. All part of my business internet marketing online strategy.
In fact, I can look back at my last 6 months of earnings, and the average rate of growth is exactly 30 dollars per month.
The question then becomes, how can I best create new content and promote it, such that I meet my goal of 30 dollars per month in income growth?
If I can hit and maintain this modest level of growth then I will hit my full time online income goals within just a few years time. This is acceptable to me.
So really, in order to meet my goal, I just need to produce ONE post each month that ends up earning me 1 dollar per day. That is all I need to build my business into a full time income within the next few years.
Now I actually post every single day, and it would be nice if each post turned into a home run hit and was producing 1, 2, or even 3 dollars per day. But this is not realistic. So I’m going to have to consider my strategy going forward and see what will produce consistent income growth.
